By the end of the four sessions, you’ll have the tools, knowledge, and confidence to step into any beginner or all-levels class with ease. Small class sizes for personal, hands-on instruction by Lisa Raney.

Over four thoughtfully structured sessions, you’ll learn the fundamentals of yoga in a supportive, approachable environment. Each class breaks things down step by step, helping you understand not just what to do, but why you’re doing it.

Meet Lisa
My yoga journey began over 23 years ago in the same space as UrbanCore is in today. That experience sparked a lifelong love of the practice. Over the years, my personal journey led me to a deep connection with Ashtanga yoga. However, as I’ve moved into my mid-50s and beyond, I’ve found that a gentler, more mindful approach now best supports both my body and spirit.

I retired from a 25-year career as an elementary school teacher in 2021. For fifteen of those years, I had the unique opportunity to bring yoga into the classroom, sharing it with third graders as part of their P.E. curriculum. Later that year, I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training and began teaching at YogaSix in 2022 until its closing. The experience provided me with a strong foundation in studio teaching.
